Hello there! Thanks so much for stopping by, I am beyond happy you are here!

In this post, I am going to share with you all of my favorite items that help create a positive and welcoming environment for our students. Social-emotional learning is an integral part of every classroom. It is already embedded into our daily lives as well as our students. Part of our job is to help students understand how to interact with others and control their own emotions. If you are looking to learn more about SEL in the classroom, check out my post here.

So even though a lot of the SEL we do in the classroom is done in the moment or while we are interacting with others, it is helpful to have materials that will help students identify feelings, calm their bodies, interact with others, and more. If you don't want to scroll through the whole thing, just click the section you want to go to:

Identifying Feelings

From books to games to posters and feelings check-ins!

Mindfulness

(great to carry on your lanyard!)

Calming Down

Make sure you intentionally teach how to use each object before putting it in the calm down area.

great item to hang in your calming area!

These are just a few of the amazing items that are out there! I included my absolute favorites because honestly, you don't need too much to integrate SEL into your classroom. It is more about what you do in the room then the items you use (although some are helpful!)

I hope these items help in your teaching, thanks for visiting!
